The NeoVolta NV14 is an all-in-one hybrid energy storage system that combines a 14.4 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery with a 7.68 kW hybrid inverter.

The expansion unit adds 9.6 kWh of storage to the NV14, increasing total battery capacity from 14.4 kWh to 24.0 kWh without requiring a second inverter.

More capacity can provide additional stored solar energy for nighttime use and longer backup duration, although actual backup time depends on which appliances and electrical loads are running.

LiFePO4 Battery Technology

NeoVolta uses Lithium Iron Phosphate, or LiFePO4, battery chemistry.

LiFePO4 is a type of lithium-ion technology particularly well suited to stationary energy storage. It is known for its thermal and chemical stability, long cycle life, and ability to tolerate repeated charging and discharging.

That matters in a home battery. Unlike an electric vehicle battery, a residential energy storage system spends its life attached to your house and may cycle day after day for years.

NeoVolta currently provides a 15-year limited warranty on covered residential energy storage products when installed and operated according to the manufacturer’s requirements.

For the NV14, NeoVolta lists warranty coverage of up to 15 years, 6,000 cycles, or 45 MWh of aggregate throughput, subject to the terms of the warranty. The manufacturer specifies at least 70% energy retention within the applicable warranty limits.
